Copper CrucibleRegular price $165.00
Origin: Bhala, Sultanate of Oman
Copper has been mined and smelted in the hills of Oman for more than 5,000 years. The inhabitants of Oman were among the earliest people in the world to practice the art of smelting, and copper work laid the foundation for all subsequent forms of metallurgy.
This copper crucible is hand made in Bhala from local Omani copper and is traditionally used for the pouring of freshly distilled rosewater. Its long sculpted spout pours beautifully for the purpose of washing the hands, bottling liquids, or as a bowl for the serving or display of various items.
This is a handmade item therefore each piece is unique, with sizes varying ever so slightly. Crafted from one hundred percent Omani copper in the Sultanate of Oman.
