Citrus limetta, is a unique Peruvian citrus fruit commonly referred to as “Lima” throughout Peru. Its essential oil is difficult to come by and is distilled by a community of growers in Huyro, Peru exclusively for Bio Alchemy Olfactive. These sunny yellow fruits grow wild in what was once a thriving sweet lemon orchard in the high jungle. They have a lighter colored pulp than the common lemon, and offer a delightful sweetness in place of tang. Our partners collect the ripened fruit and flowers, steam distilling essential oil in small batches during the months of July through September. Its scent is ripe with sparkling sweet lemon and notes of candied lemon peel, white flowers, and sunshine.
Usage
As with most citrus essential oils, Lima is vibrant, detoxifying, cleansing and antibacterial. It supports lymphatic drainage, clears the skin, and uplifts the spirit and mood.
Bio Alchemy Olfactive’s essential oil of Lima is not photosensitizing on the skin like many cold pressed citrus essential oils due to the fact it is extracted by distillation.
Add a few drops to massage oil, clay masks, or body treatments, diffuse to purify the air and environment, or simply inhale from the bottle to heighten and lighten the mood.

To maximize the longevity of our essential oils please store away from direct sunlight and heat. Please use with care and dilute properly. Avoid contact with eyes, keep out of reach of children, do not take internally.

All products are formulated in Bio Alchemy Olfactive’s private lab with exclusively sourced ingredients. Each bottle is hand poured, labeled and packaged. Our packaging, from shipping boxes, water activated tape, and protective wrap to shipping labels are plastic free and made from 100% post consumer waste with recycled ink, making them fully recyclable and naturally biodegradable. No forests are damaged in production.
Products packaged in glass vials are intended for reuse and are tied with hand spun natural Peruvian alpaca twine from the women of a small community with whom we work.
